The Meritorious Service Medal is awarded to any person who has performed within Singapore, service of conspicuous merit characterised by resource and devotion to duty, including long service marked by exceptional ability, merit and exemplary conduct. In exceptional circumstances, the Medal is awarded to any person who has performed, outside Singapore, service of conspicuous merit characterised by resource and devotion of duty, including service marked by exceptional ability, merit and exemplary conduct.

The Public Service Star may be awarded to any person who has rendered valuable public service to the people of Singapore; or who has distinguished himself in the
field of arts and letters, sports, the sciences, business, the professions and the labour movement.

The Public Administration Medal is awarded to any person who is or has been in the service of any organisation, association or body rendering services in the field of education, for outstanding efficiency and competence. There are 3 grades of the Medal, namely, gold, silver and bronze. |
