Sincere appreciation for RP

Dear York Boon,

It is with simple but sincere words that I must write in to express my sincere appreciation towards your efforts in making the Tech X Challenge a great success. Personally this is one of the best and memorable events I have ever been involved over my 38 years of my career with SAF, Mindef and DSTA.

One of the lessons that I have learnt and will definitely follow is your special "Style and Approach Management". Issues that I have raised for assistance at short notices were endorsed by you instantly coupled with very prompt support from your staff. Your assurances and presence that accompanied me on the ground, one week prior to the event and on actual day is commendable.

Each time I faced a problem, you provided me a sense of confidence and raised my competency to overcome them. I could also feel and sense your strong desire to make the Tech X Challenge a success.

Your management staff confidently delivered and met our requirements willingly and warmly. There are many of them. Special mention must be accorded to Solomon Raja and Savio Dominic and many others (such as Cassandra Ng for the Canteen Opening, Rahim, Khamis and Ismail for Security and Samy from Keppel). Even the lady executive from the One Stop Centre and especially Stanley who connected me to the right person and information made our work much smoother.

Another reliable and outstanding team is from TRCC. I am thankful for the Director of TRCC, for his endorsement and support, Mr Tony Kam, for his attendance at our meetings especially for his advice and guidance, Mr Phang and Ms Azizah who were always on site to ensure that all facilities were available. In fact, Mr Phang’s control and command during the Minister’s Visit at 9am till departure at 1045am was remarkable. Mr Rafi and his 3 colleaques were always physically at the Studio and moving swiftly to and fro the Lab. They are truly a responsible and reliable team.

Among them, I also witnessed many whom I do not know but were also on standby, such as the cleaners and technicians who were ready to render their assistance.

A millions thanks for the great support that Republic Polytechnic and TRCC have provided to DSTA. Do keep in touch!

Regards,
Harry Ho
