Library
The RP library serves students, academic staff and non-academic staff and is very different from existing polytechnic and academic libraries in Singapore in the following ways:

• The library will serve as a place for leisure reading and a place to relax in addition to being a place for reference and learning.
• A lounge corner with music stations, piano, guitar is offered for leisure music making; performances and programs.
• A “lifestyle” collection that will be on loan from NLB will be made available to students and staff.
• The library will not provide facilities for faculty research but will concentrate on developing the students as lifelong learners.
• The library will provide supplementary reading materials to the students rather than recommended course reading materials.
• For a start, the library will not have a Red-spot collection but will instead build a reference collection that all students can access easily.
• The students will not be given reading list but instead have to search for information to solve problems assigned.
• Problem-based learning zones are located in the library for facilitation and group discussion.
