SECTION IX: REFERENCE MATERIALS

Authoritative, up-to-date reference materials supply useful information and are kept
together in a non-circulating collection. These materials are acquired to satisfy general
reference informational needs and provide curriculum support and limited research support.

The reference collection may consist of, but not limited to the following materials:

  1. Encyclopaedias, dictionaries, handbooks and manuals
  2. Almanacs
  3. Directories
  4. Atlases
  5. Standards and specifications
  6. Annual reports of organizations
  7. Materials that cost more than S$350
  8. Titles that may be cited by academic staff as required reading

The library may from time to time transfer a title from lending to reference if there is an increase in demand for that particular title.
