ACADEMIC CALENDAR 2007/08
NOTE: The dates given are correct at the point of publication, and are subject to change. Please note the following enhancements made to the new academic calendar: 1. On school days that fall on public holidays or non-school days declared by the Polytechnic, that day's lesson will be shifted to the next school day. The corresponding number of public holidays or non-school days declared by the Polytechnic will be made up for only at the end of the Semester, instead of the Term. Example: A semester has 2 terms. If Term 1 starts on a Monday and there are 2 public holidays that fall on the school days during Term 1, the last day for that Term 1 would still end on a Friday. However, the 2 days that need to be made up will be carried over to the end of Term 2 of that Semester. 2. Traditionally, the Polytechnics plan for long semestral breaks (7 to 9 weeks), but shorter term breaks in June and December. Since RP does not have Industrial Attachment for senior year students, we will provide for longer June and December vacation (about 3 -5 weeks) so that students can find spend more time with their family and friends during the school vacation or look for temporary job placements Archived Academic Calendars: |
