Research and Development in RP

In Republic Polytechnic, we are committed to promote a vibrant Research & Development (R&D) culture through the Technology Development Centers (TDCs), school laboratories and collaboration with Industries.

The TDCs at RP were set up to develop centers of excellence in selected areas of core competencies supporting Singapore’s cluster development strategies. They draw upon the multi-disciplinary resources residing in all the Academic Schools and Centers to focus on real-world developmental projects with direct relevance to local industries. Currently, there are twelve TDCs operational, with more in the pipeline.

Some of our research focus areas are: We take a proactive approach towards bridging the gap between knowledge and application by facilitating technology transfer between RP and Industry. We can match the expertise and technologies residing in RP with the needs of large and small companies, Research Institutes.
