Many of our alumni had an exciting and rewarding journey with Republic Polytechnic (RP). RP helps to transform them into confident individuals who are problem-solver, professional, and passionate. Together with guidance from caring facilitators, our alumni have achieved outstanding awards during their stint in RP and beyond.
Here are some of our alumni who have been awarded prestigious scholarships by educational institutions and organisations.
Hear what they have to say about RP, and their words of advice to their juniors.

"Never give up! Always look for alternative routes to your goal even if one route does not work out."
I told the interview panel how much I wanted to learn the skills of a physiotherapist, and how much I would enjoy putting the skills learnt to make a difference to the healthcare sector community. Most importantly, speak every word from the bottom of your heart.
I would like to thank my internship supervisor, Karen Koh for giving me the opportunity to work under her during my course of internship. I have learnt much under her and gained exposure to different aspects of being an allied health professional.
CHNG YUAN JING JOHNATHANDiploma in Sports and Exercise Sciences
"Set your eyes on your ultimate goal and don't stop until you get there."
Never in my life would I expect myself to receive a scholarship, as I was someone who failed my N levels twice! However, I found joy in what I studied at RP and understood the application of my modules to everyday life. I would like to thank my parents for their constant encouragement despite failure. They have taught me to answer to myself whatever the turnout may be.
I would also like to thank Mr Darwin Jalil from Project Vaults Group Pte Ltd, Mr Arvin Leung from RockTape Singapore, Ms Agnes Lee from Myotherapy Centre for their support to my scholarship application. I would like to specially thank Ms Grace Ho, my facilitator and internship supervisor, for sparking an interest in Physiotherapy in me.

"Believe in the dreams you have for yourself."
Nothing worthwhile ever comes easy, keep persevering. It doesn't matter where you were before you went to RP because you can't change that, but you can still dictate your path after RP.
I would like to express my gratitude to my RP facilitators - Mr Christopher Song, Mr Edwin Cho, Mr Edward Yeo, Mr Gideon Tan, and Dr Isaac Lim, for spending time to guide and advise me during my time in RP.

"Always keep moving forward no matter what happens."
My secret is simply hardwork, patience and perserverence. Keep moving forward and always look on the bright side of things. Even if we put in our best and failed, we just have to keep going. There is always light at the end of the tunnel.
I would like to thank mentors and facilitators from RP for their guidance and dedication in putting in the extra hours spent to make sure that we grasp our concepts.
