Welcome to School of Information and Communications Technology (SIT) at the Republic Polytechnic (RP)!

The School of Information and Communications Technology (SIT) prepares students for the challenges in the Information Technology (IT) industry, and our graduates are ever-ready to deal with advances in technology while embracing industry developments. In addition to the core IT skill sets that our students will learn, they will also be taught to proactively solve problems; communicate effectively and work in teams with peers of varying skills - crucial skills needed to deal with constantly evolving industry needs.

To complement the rigorous and up-to-date curriculum, SIT has partnered with various industry leaders to provide well equipped laboratories and the latest software applications to enrich students' learning experiences. Among the many advanced facilities are the Enterprise Computing facility with IBM zSeries mainframe, state-of-the-art Digital Prepress and Workflow Laboratory, and an IT Service Management Practice Laboratory with BMC Remedy service management suite.

Our curriculum also prepares students to pursue industry certification programmes such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), SAP TERP10, Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), SUN Certified Programmer for Java, etc.

Beyond the classroom, students will have opportunities to participate in enriching overseas learning trips, industry projects, and undergo fulfilling job attachments.
