School of Hospitality
School of Hospitality (SOH) is a groundbreaking collaboration between RP and the world-renowned Raffles Hotels & Resorts (www.raffles.com). The esteemed brand has won numerous international accolades, such as “Top 100 Hotels of the World”, “World’s Best Places to Stay” and “Top 25 Hotels in Asia”.
Under the collaboration, Raffles Hotels & Resorts will play an advisory role in developing the student’s academic curriculum, which is grounded on RP’s unique One-Day, One-ProblemTM Problem-Based Learning education pedagogy. In addition, students will also partake in experiential learning through attending talks by esteemed industry professionals and attaining hands-on experience at our very own on-campus live labs. Experiential training will culminate in our various work placement programmes, including attachments with established hotels including Raffles’ hotels locally and internationally.
SOH will focus on preparing graduates for the fast growing service-oriented hospitality industry. The three diplomas offered by the SOH are:
- Diploma in Integrated Events Management (DIEM)
- Diploma in Customer Relationship and Service Management (DCRSM)
- Diploma in Hotel and Hospitality Management (DHHM)
It is SOH’s vision to nurture our students into a pool of business savvy and discerning professionals with customer-oriented mindsets, who will continually provide value-added services from the heart, no matter which part of the world their careers take them.
