School of Technology for the Arts Labs
The School of Technology for the Arts has generated industry standard, state of the art facilities in the area of HD production.
Known as a live studio, this studio has been designed as a raw shell with modular technologies to enable live, interactive productions. The studio includes a fully comprehensive set of lights with automatic hoist and lighting control. Included with these hoists are scenery and 5.1 sound capabilities along with up to five HD cameras (1 is an automatic pan and tilt).
Known as the virtual studio, this studio has built-in virtual set technologies along with blue screen. The studio includes a fully comprehensive set of lights with automatic hoist. 3 HD cameras are included with one as pan and tilt, one on a dolly and the other on a pedestal with auto-cue.
To support both studios, the school has a fully integrated control room for broadcast mix, lighting control, 5.1 HD audio, graphics and virtual set creation and control.
To compliment our studios, the school has 20 HD post production editing suites. All fibre-channel connected to a 28TB RAID, these suites run a multitude of software applications including Final Cut Pro, Creative Suite, After Effects, Shake and Logic Pro. Furthermore, 2 suites include a custom whisper room for professional voice-over.
