Ever wonder if culinary is an art or a science?
It is actually the art of preparing and cooking cuisines that are as pleasing to the palate as to the eye, using the knowledge of the science of food and an understanding of diet and nutrition. We at the School of Hospitality, have the passion, industry experience, core competencies and facilities to provide our students with an educational experience and skill set that will inspire them to leave their own unique imprints on the restaurant and culinary landscape.
To cultivate the secondary school students’ interest and passion in the culinary world, we are organising iChef Cooking Competition 2011. This event provides a platform for students to unleash their talent and creativity to showcase their creations in our state-of-the-art Oliva training restaurant.
Participants will stand to win iPads, cash prizes and trophies and will also have the opportunity to meet and have their creations tasted by renowned chefs.
