Specialisation Track in Theme Park and Attraction Management

From Academic Year 2011/12, final year students of Diploma in Integrated Events Management and Diploma in Customer Relationship and Service Management have the opportunity to specialise in Theme Park and Attraction Management through a collaborative partnership between Universal Studios Singapore (USS), Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) and School of Hospitality, Republic Polytechnic.

USS's input to the development of curriculum is greatly valued and the curriculum will be implemented in the first semester of their third year of study. This is to equip students with knowledge and skills that meet the needs of the industry. Students will also be interning at RWS one semester to gain first-hand industry experience.

The specialisation track covers the following topics:

• Risk Management in Theme Park and Attraction;
• Managing Guest Experience in Theme Park and Attraction;
• Operational Issues in Theme Park and Attraction;
• Entertainment and Events in Theme Park and Attraction

Students graduating from this track can look forward to an enriching career in the theme parks and attractions industry.
