Ancient Martial Art, Young Talents
On 30 October, Republic Polytechnic's Wushu Interest Group took part in the Traditional Wushu Inter-Varsity Championship 2010. The IG's excellent performance resulted in 2 silver and 2 bronze medals.
 
 

 

 

Student Academic Awards

Outstanding students who excelled academically are recognised in Republic Polytechnic annually. The top three students of the graduating cohort receive Lee Kuan Yew Award for Mathematics and Science, Tay Eng Soon Gold Medal, and Board of Governors Award respectively.

Diploma-based and module-based awards, scholarships and bursaries are also awarded to students who have done well.

Lee Kuan Yew Award for Mathematics and Science

This award is presented to the Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident with best performance in mathematics and science modules, while maintaining a consistently good overall academic performance throughout the course of study at the polytechnic.

Tay Eng Soon Gold Medal

This award is presented to the student with best overall performance after having advanced to the polytechnic from the Institute of Technical Education.

Board of Governors Award

This award is presented for overall exceptional achievement as a student of the polytechnic, in both academic and Student Life Activities.
