Charlotte Silén, PhD, Associated professor in Education, Director Centre for Teaching and Learning, CUL at Karolinska Institutet, Stocholm, Sweden. The centre is responsible for educational research, development, evaluation and faculty development. She has more than 20 years experiences of PBL related to teaching, designing courses and educational programmes and faculty development especially within health care.
She has been project leader for several educational development projects and worked with tutor training and consultancy concerning PBL in a wide range of fields within higher education. Her research interests concern student learning processes, self-directed learning, tutoring, assessment, embodied learning and understanding as an outcome of learning.
