Reinventing PBL
will be an exciting opportunity for researchers and educators to
present critical reviews of PBL methodologies, new perspectives
on PBL and paradigm shifts within PBL.
Bringing PBL to life with the "PBL Tutorial"
Experience PBL in action!
To help bring the theme of the Symposium to life, an interactive
presentation format – the “PBL Tutorial” – has been
incorporated.
Participants can submit a problem to
trigger a discussion, and act as the facilitator for the
discussion. (By doing so, fellow delegates will
experience first-hand how they have used PBL!)
Participants are encouraged to submit
a research paper that will act as a resource for that
discussion, and if accepted, the problem triggers and
research papers will be published in the symposium
proceedings. The five key areas of interest are:
(1) Teaching Practices in PBL
(2) Design of PBL Curriculum
(3) Epistemology Underlying PBL
(4) Staff Development
(5) Technology and Innovation
