1. Cryptography - Identity-Based Encryption
An Identity Base Encryption (IBE) scheme is a public-key
cryptosystem where any string is a valid public key.
Instead of storing huge databases of public keys, IBE system
derives these public keys from e-mail addresses etc.
2. Biometrics - Fingerprint
Application of fingerprint technology for time and
attendance solution. Such solutions will effectively
resolve proxy entry problems common to other monitoring systems
such as swipe cards.
3. Intrusion Detection - Storage
Storage intrusion detection focuses on creating another layer
of defense in the overall defense-in-depth security
architecture. This will fill the gap that traditional
network-based and host-based intrusion detection system cannot
fulfill.
4. Penetration Testing - Object-based Storage Device
Object-based Storage Device (OSD) is an emerging technology
that will change the way storage devices work. Tools and
know-how to perform penetration testing will ensure a successful
audit of IT systems that contain such devices.
5. Data Recovery - RAID Arrays recovery
Although there are RAID standards, different RAID vendors
have different implementations within these standards – the
order in which blocks and parity bits are written, what order
the disks were in, the block size in use, the parity algorithm
used, and so on. The focus is to successfully reconstruct
data from an unknown group of hard disks.
