In a bid to fully exploit
the unlimited potential applications of IT, the Centre for Open
Source Technology aims to increase access to open source technology
in partnership with industry partners, and to advocate innovation
and collaboration within the virtual communities.
A key need in education is wide choice, free thinking and equality
of opportunity. In addition, freedom and sharing of ideas for the
benefit of others is fundamental to education, especially in RP.
Freedom of choice and sharing of ideas are key principles driving
the open source community. In promoting Linux competency, Open
Source TDC aims to to collaborate with technology leaders to drive
the adoption of the technology within the campus and in the
industry.
