Formulation and Nutrition Science

The aim of RP’s TDC in Formulation and Nutrition Science seeks to develop core competencies in Nutraceuticals research, Cancer biology and oncology for applications such as Assay systems for bioactive compounds, Assay models for cancer analysis and Analytical Chemistry.

Electronics Design

The Electronics Design TDC’s focus is to develop embedded system solution, incorporating wireless technologies and FPGA design to realise applications for ubiquitous computing, encompassing industrial process and manufacturing automation, sensor network, intelligent healthcare system, intelligent building and home automation.

Ergonomics & Ergogenics

The vision of ERGO TDC is to use a multi-disciplinary approach, to be a center for the development of, lifestyle cum sports performance enhancement aids and products. The ERGO TDC will achieve this by promoting expertise in niche areas of lifestyle enhancement as well as to investigate a range of modifications to existing products, and/or develop prototypes. Also, it will explore and identify viable technologies and products that may possess ergogenic effects as well as to investigate the ergogenic effects of identified technologies and products.

Interactive and Digital Media “Generator”

The Interactive and Digital Media Generator TDC aims to contribute and support the under-researched discipline of Creative Arts. Digital media technologies related to this field will also be developed. It will explore and identify niche markets, and investigate a range of modifications to existing products, develop new creative and technical ideas and/or develop fully working prototypes in partnership with industry leaders.

Open Source Technologies

The TDC in Open Source Technologies seeks to develop core competencies in Content Identification & Rules (e.g. XML), MPEG-4 standards, Cryptography, Programming Languages & Systems for applications such as DRM and Linux systems.

Wellness

The Wellness TDC envisions itself to be a centre of excellence for wellness-related research that encompasses the whole lifespan. Using a multi-disciplinary approach, the Wellness TDC aims to a leading service provider for both product/program development and evaluation in the areas of lifestyle, wellness and healthcare.

 

   
New Materials

The TDC in New Materials aims to be a center for the identification and development of new functionalities for advanced materials and it will achieve this by initially providing solutions for the use of smart materials in the electronics, environmental and biomedical industries.

Wireless Technology

The vision of Wireless TDC is to be a leading centre in promoting greater awareness of wireless technologies and its capabilities through innovative application development, product diversification exploration on existing technologies of wireless and consultancy services to the industry.

Republic Polytechnic Experiential Affective Learning (REAL)

Republic Polytechnic Experiential and Affective Learning (REAL) TDC’s Vision is to be a center of excellence for research in outdoor and adventure learning which will impact the processing of adventure experiences to help individuals realize their potential, develop character and change behavioral patterns to pursue an active lifestyle based on the best practices.

Supply Chain Management

The TDC in Supply Chain management seeks to develop core competencies in integrated logistics systems, RFID-enabled supply chain and logistics decision support tools for applications such as Logistics system modeling and optimization, ePC middleware and information servicing, RFID ePC solutions and logistics profiling.

Youth Engagement

The TDC in Youth Engagement aims to be the distinct thought leader in the youth entrepreneurship arena that promotes entrepreneurship among the youths, profiles youths to understand entrepreneurial traits and behaviors and provides key insights via knowledge management hub.

Environmental

The ENV TDC aims to develop core competencies to transform Republic Polytechnic into Singapore’s leader in harnessing waste in distributed power generation. This goal is set against a broader set of technologies to demonstrate the feasibility of zero effluent communities.
