Technology Development Centre for RFID renamed to Technology
Development for Wireless Technology
Recent developments in wireless technology, such as ZigBee and UWB,
results in the evolution of the Radio Frequency Identification (RFID)
with new enhanced capabilities that open up exciting application
areas. However, the term RFID is still perceived by many as the
direct association to conventional tags and readers system. It is
with this motivation that a change of the TDC name is proposed.
