RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT CULTURE AT RP
The Office of Technology Development (OTD) was set up in 2004 to champion Capability Development
and to promote research collaboration between RP, industry and other parties. We aim to:
- Steer, co-ordinate and guide the technology development activities in RP through Technology
Development Centres (TDCs)
- Promote a vibrant Research & Development (R&D) culture in RP through the development of a
conducive environment for R&D work
- Encourage and facilitate organic R&D work and collaborative R&D projects with the Industry,
other Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs), Research Institutes (RIs) and Research Funding Agencies
- Oversee the management, protection and possible commercialization of Intellectual Property
generated from RP.
Uniquely, we achieve this through the innovative concept of Technology Development Centres (TDCs).
