Technology Development
The objectives of this project is to create software and interface
solutions so as to integrate existing AIDC technologies and
equipments with a Warehouse Management System so that different
real-life workflows can be modelled for retail companies with
different needs whose efficiency and accuracy can be improved with
most appropriate AIDC.

Comparative studies for different AIDC
technologies to suit different product profiles and physical
resource for companies to select and justify best appropriate AIDC
technology and put-away/picking processes based on product, carton,
item, throughput and physical facility constraint characteristics
using integrated AIDC/ WMS system.

It will provide integrated test-bedding
facility to allow companies to investigate savings and
efficiency of implementing these technologies and equipment to
enhance their put-away and picking process as part of their
evaluation studies.

Alternative technologies and workflow designs
may be develop that can help improve productivity and accuracy in
the warehouse.
