• This project's objective is to investigate how the student queuing times for temperature screening in Republic Polytechnic will change with more or less thermal scanners.

Deliverables

• Development of a simulation model for the temperature screening in RP

• Determine the efficiency of the thermal scanners

• How many thermal scanners would be required

Results

 

To find out the effects of an additional processor, a third processor was added to the original 2 processor and simulated to find out the maximum queue throughout the simulation. The maximum queue length was then compared between the 2 simulations with a significant decrease in the maximum queue from 26 people to 17 people.
