Objectives

•  Identify and select the right technology based the company’s transportation visibility requirements.                                       

• Show how transportation visibility can be used to understand delivery status, assign last minute pick ups and know available vehicles without the need to contact drivers.

Deliverables

• By using criteria scoring table to assess transportation visibility technologies trial, in-vehicle GPS is selected due to highest scoring, followed by Google phone application and lastly SIM card tracking.

• By using costing scoring table, Google phone application is cheapest, followed by in-vehicle GPS and lastly SIM card tracking.

• From cost-benefit analysis, Google phone application has shortest payback time, followed by in-vehicle GPS and lastly SIM card tracking.
