There are five key thrusts underlying the Youth Engagement TDC:
- Academic
Through various innovative educational programmes, pedagogies and instructional modes, the TDC seeks to enhance understanding of how the youth can better learn and be more effectively engaged.
- Professional Development
Through activities and competitions, the TDC serves to enable the youth to serve as a change agent in the social sector by engaging in a process of continuous innovation, adaptation and learning [Youth Social Entrepreneurship].
- Industry
The TDC gears towards being a strategic marketing resource hub
that connects industry brands with the 17-34 year old youth
demographic.
- Technology
In collaboration with the Market Research (MR) Lab, the TDC
engages youth in the participation in programs and projects that
aims to promote technology as a tool for personal and
professional development.
- Social and Cultural
The TDC seeks to understand how the youth respond to cultural and social issues and encourage youth participation and involvement in addressing these issues.
