Environment and Sustainability Cluster Technology Day 2011

In this day and age, the topic of global warming has taken centre stage and its negative impact on our lives in the coming decades should never be underestimated. The latest findings by the International Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) revealed that energy-related CO2 emissions in 2010 were the highest in recorded history. This is definitely a worrying trend as CO2 is the major contributor to the greenhouse effect which gives rise to global warming.

Dramatic changes in weather patterns and the higher frequency of natural disasters such as hurricanes, droughts and flooding can also be attributed to the rise in global temperature. This detrimental effect can be slowly mitigated by properly orchestrated carbon reduction initiatives through the use of innovative technologies in areas like energy conservation, harvesting and storage. Large organisations and conglomerates have made their commitments towards this cause in what can be seen as a positive sign that the world is doing what it can in the push for sustainable technologies.

Who should attend

Companies and individuals from various industries, namely Environment, Life Sciences and Environmental Technology, who would like to gain insights on productivity from industry and enterprise levels:
  • Chief executives
