What You Will Learn

Combining essential skills training with valuable hands-on experience, the DAA introduces you to the high-tech world of aircraft electrical systems, preparing you for a high-flying and successful career in avionics. 

To simulate the experience of real-life flights, you will enjoy access to world-class facilities including the A320 Aircraft Cockpit Simulator Lab, Aircraft Communications and Navigation Systems Lab and the ARCH, our hangar facility. Take the controls and learn the proper use of flight instruments in a realistic aircraft cockpit.

DAA also offers you industry attachments with companies in the aerospace industry to help prepare you for a successful career in the future.

DAA graduates can embark on a variety of exciting careers in the maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) sector as well as industries related to the design, development, manufacturing, and testing of aircraft flight components. You will be fully prepared to take on roles such as:

  • Assistant Engineer

  • Avionics Equipment Test Engineer

  • Licensed Aircraft Engineer

  • Regulatory Officer

  • Technical Marketing Associate Engineer

Further Studies

RP graduates are well-placed to embark on meaningful careers, immediately after graduation. They could even improve their employability by taking part-time courses or SkillsFuture Earn and Learn Programmes (ELPs).

What’s more, every RP diploma is recognised and has a pathway leading to a relevant degree with top local and overseas universities. RP graduates may complete their degrees in just over two or three years in a four-year programme.

Skills Deepening

Undergraduate Studies

DAA graduates can pursue a widerange of degree programmes in subjects such as electrical engineering, computer engineeringand mechanical engineering at the National University of Singapore; electrical and electronic engineering, information engineering and media at Nanyang Technological University; avionics at SIM University; and aerospace systems and aeronautical engineering at the Singapore Institute of Technology.
