Enhanced Training Support Package

The Enhanced Training Support Package (ETSP) aims to help selected sectors tide over the economic impact of COVID-19, and also to enable these companies to position themselves for subsequent recovery. Only Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents are eligible for ETSP. You may visit the SkillsFuture Singapore for more information on the ETSP.

Republic Polytechnic is the appointed training provider for companies and individuals in these sectors.

Companies (SME and non-SME)

As an employer, you can obtain 90% course fee subsidy when you send your employees for sector-specific training. In addition, the ETSP also provides absentee payroll funding at 90% of your employee’s basic salary, capped at $10 per hour

To register for courses, please complete the following: 

  1. Employer Declaration Form. Please fill up the form and send it back to us. As NRIC numbers are required to be filled in the form, please password-protect the file, and email us the passwords separately. 
  2. If this is your first time working with Republic Polytechnic, please complete the Company Sponsorship Form before registering your employees.

From 1 January 2021 to 30 June 2021, the enhanced Absentee Payroll funding rate will be revised to 80% of hourly basic salary capped at $7.50/ hours.

Self-Employed Person (SEP)

As a self-employed person, you are eligible for 90% course fee subsidy when you attend a skills or certification training in a sector-specific training programme.

While you are not eligible for absentee payroll, you can tap onto NTUC Training Fund to obtain a training allowance of $10 per hour, when you attend a SkillsFuture Series course, or a sector-specific training. Please follow the steps below to obtain your training allowance:

Step 1  Apply for the Letter of Eligibility

If you are a SEP, before applying/registering for any courses, you must first receive a Letter of Eligibility (LOE) from NTUC’s e2i to qualify for the training allowance.

Terms & Conditions 

  1. Trainees must be full-time or permanent part-time employees of the sponsoring company, and fully sponsored for supportable cost components (such as course fees) incurred on the training course. Trainees must continue to receive their salary when they attend training.
  2. Sponsoring company is to ensure that Trainees have not attended the same course previously under Republic Polytechnic, including as a self-sponsored trainee.
  3. Trainees must have achieved at least 75% attendance for all training.
  4. Trainees must complete the course whilst under employment of the sponsoring company by 30 June 2020.
  5. Sponsoring company will be required to pay for full courses fees, if trainees did not complete the course and pass the examinations/assessments (for exam-based courses).
  6. Absentee payroll is to be disbursed only after:
  • Trainee complete the training and pass the examinations/assessments (for exam-based courses).
  • Sponsoring company has provided all required information as requested by Republic Polytechnic.
  • Sponsoring company has completed payment to Republic Polytechnic for the nett payable course fees.
  • Trainees must participate in the post-course evaluation survey conducted by Republic Polytechnic.
