Gear up and prepare yourself for the fight against Black Hats in this comprehensive five-day programme.

You will learn the fundamentals of cyber threat hunting, including incident handling and the various response procedures and techniques, as well as participate in simulated cyberattacks in a Security Operation Centre.

With this course, you will gain deeper insights into the various concepts and techniques of cyber defence such as security incident investigation, response handling, escalation and recovery.

Laptops will be provided for the duration of the course.

Learning Objectives

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

• describe the issues and challenges in handling security incidents

• recognise the importance of following well-defined processes, policies, and procedures

• describe the technical, communication, and coordination issues involved in providing a Cyber Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT) service

• analyse and assess the impact of computer security incidents

• build and coordinate response strategies for various types of computer security incidents 

Who should attend?

Professionals, Managers, Executives or Technicians (PMETs) interested in the fundamentals of security incident investigation and response. 

Certification

Participants will be awarded a certificate of completion upon meeting the 75% course attendance requirement.

For courses with assessment component, participants will be awarded the certification of completion upon passing the assessment. Otherwise, a certification of attendance will be issued instead upon meeting the 75% course attendance requirement.
