YAP ZI XUAN

Zi Xuan excelled in both her academic pursuits and student life activities. An outstanding student from the Diploma in Biotechnology, Zi Xuan was inducted into the Director’s Roll of Honour for five consecutive semesters.
Representing RP in the NUS Sunburst Brain Camp 2018, Zi Xuan presented a scientific paper on the human brain and published a book chapter on Neuroepigenetics and Ageing. She also showcased her scientific prowess when she became a recipient of the A*STAR Science Award (Polytechnic) in AY2018 and AY2019.
Beyond her academic achievements, Zi Xuan actively participated in student life activities. For instance, she volunteered as a student leader for several service-learning events such as the Science Carnival, Supermarket Run and One Heart. She was also a student ambassador for outreach events like the Science Congress and Ministry of Education (MOE) Applied Studies Experience where she and her peers interacted with prospective students from secondary schools to share their love for science and RP. Her service-learning endeavours also won her a Silver Medal in the Make A Difference (M.A.D.) Service-Learner Award in 2018.
