The centre works closely with industry partners to implement technology solutions that can enhance the quality of crops. Through partnerships for training and research, we support local food production. Areas of collaborations include
developing technology solutions through R&D
embarking on consultancy project with RP’s experts
conducting feasibility studies for new technologies
implementing laboratory trials using R&D facilities at RP
The Integrated Agriculture Hub (IAH) consists of the Agriculture Technology Laboratory, The Greenhouse as well as experimental labs to support the pre-production, production and post-production process for crops.
The IAH facilitates training, research and industry collaboration on technical solutions for modern age farming. It brings together state-of-the-art facilities and resources such as educators, researchers, industry leaders and entrepreneurs to share problem statements, carry out experiments, and explore commercially viable solutions in agriculture.
The Greenhouse which will offer facilities for growing plants under semi-controlled climate, in ambient temperatures, and in sunlight. The Greenhouse will also have container-based farming systems for mushroom cultivation and growth of leafy greens and premium crops in a controlled environment.
The plant growth facilities are supported by our various specialised experimental labs for studies such as:
biochemical and molecular characterisations,
microbial analysis,
metabolites and nutrient analysis,
plant tissue culture/micropropagation
product development of farm produce
sensory evaluation of vegetable and fruits
product shelf-life studies
