Diploma Rename
Diploma in Consumer Insights and Psychology (DCIP)
, renamed from Diploma in Consumer Behaviour & Research (DCBR)
The
Diploma in Consumer Insights and Psychology (DCIP)
, renamed from Diploma in Consumer Behaviour & Research (DCBR), is a business programme that aims to provide students with relevant competencies in marketing, consumer insights, and consumer psychology.
The diploma was renamed to provide greater clarity on the value proposition of the diploma and better align its skills and competencies across a broad industry spectrum such as branding, campaign and promotion, consumer insights, data analytics and visualisation, market research, and traditional and digital marketing.
The name emphasises the focus to equip students with consumer insights skills to gather and analyse data, translating them into data-driven business strategies and decisions. The integration of social, cognitive, and applied psychology, enables a deeper comprehension of psychology principles that guide consumer behaviour, and in turn, better explain and analyse consumer insights.
Upon completion of DCIP, graduates can pursue a career across diverse industries and job roles such as marketing executives, research assistants, market research analysts, digital marketing specialists, data analysis, and visualisation specialists. In addition, some students may choose to further their education with a Specialist Diploma in Marketing Analytics and Insights or a bachelor’s degree in Business or related fields to advance their career opportunities.
