What is SkillsFuture Career Transition Programme (SCTP)?

The SkillsFuture Career Transition Programme supports mid-career individuals in acquiring industry-relevant skills to improve employability and pivot to new sectors or job roles. The SCTPs offered by RP range from three to six months on a full-time or part-time basis.

Who is SCTP for?

The SCTP is open to all Singaporeans and Singapore Permanent Residents seeking training opportunities to transition into a new sector or job role.

Applicants must be able to commit and fulfil all training requirements, including minimum attendance requirements and passing of assessments.

What are the benefits?

• Course fee subsidy of up to 95% (Terms and conditions apply)
• Training allowance of minimum $300 and maximum of $3,000 per month* (Terms and conditions apply) 
• Career guidance 
• Job placement assistance
• Gain skills-based qualification recognised by industry

Funding Schemes and Subsidies

To encourage lifelong learning, funding schemes and subsidies are available for Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents. The amount of subsidy provided varies based on your background, income, age, and selected course.

Singaporeans aged 40 years and above may use the SkillsFuture Credit (Mid-Career) top-up of $4,000 to offset out-of-pocket course fees for selected courses including SkillsFuture Career Transition Programmes.
