EAE allows you to apply to courses in RP based on your interests and aptitudes. You can receive a conditional offer for your dream course prior to your ITE final examinations. Admissions will be based on your final ITE grades.
Apply for your dream course in RP via the Joint Polytechnic Admissions Exercise (JPAE), conducted annually for ITE students/graduates. Admissions is based on academic merit and subject to available vacancies of the diploma courses.
The Direct Admissions Exercise (DAE) allows applicants whose qualifications are ineligible under JPAE and EAE to apply for admission to our full-time diploma courses. Admission is based on academic merit and subject to available vacancies of the diploma courses.
The Early Admissions Exercise (EAE) allows you to apply to courses in RP based on your interests and aptitudes. You can receive a conditional offer for your dream course prior to completing your ITE course. Admission is based on merit and subject to available vacancies of the diploma courses.
You must be an ITE student who is in your final year of study of your Nitec or Higher Nitec course. ITE students who are scheduled to complete their Nitec course in June or December 2023 and Higher Nitec course in September 2023 or March 2024 will be eligible to participate in the 2023 EAE (Intake Year 2024).

The EAE-I application window for Intake Year 2024 will take place from 8 June 2023 to 14 June 2023.
Application is made online through the EAE Application Portal. Please refer to the User Guide at the portal on how to apply.
You may indicate up to 3 course choices in your application (can be from different polytechnics)
Provide write-ups in application: (1) Reason(s) for course selection (up to 600 characters), (2) Talents and/or achievements (up to 1,000 characters)
Please note:
As choice order matters, and that you will only receive one course offer, please consider your choices very carefully and indicate your most preferred course as your first choice.
Please ensure that you have entered your contact details accurately for the polytechnic to contact you should your EAE application be successful.
Interview
From July to August 2023, you may be shortlisted to attend an interview. The interview is to:
Provide an interface for you to interact with the interviewers
Allow the interviewers to evaluate your understanding of the course(s) that you have applied for, and assess your suitability for the course(s) through your write-up(s) indicated in your application
Some courses require you to undergo aptitude test(s) in addition to the interview. Download the guide from the various School webpages to find out what these aptitude test(s) are and also tips on how to ace your interview.
Application Outcome
The application outcome will be released online through the EAE Application Portal on 6 September 2023.
If your application is successful, you are required to confirm the acceptance of your offer by 11 September 2023 through the EAE Application Portal. A non-response will be deemed as a rejection of the offer.
Should you change your mind after accepting the posting, you are required to submit your withdrawal online via the EAE Application Portal between 12 September and 13 October 2023.
In order to confirm your conditional offer, you must fulfil all of the admissions criteria.
Admissions Criteria You must obtain the following final net Grade Point Average (GPA):
2.0 or better for Higher Nitec qualification; or
3.5 or better for Nitec qualification
Aggregate Computation
Final net GPA = Final Raw GPA + CCA bonus points

You must be an applicant holding Nitec or Higher Nitec qualification. Students who have accepted their conditional offer under the Early Admissions Exercise (EAE) are not eligible to apply in the DAE.
The DAE application will run from 20 March 2023, 2 pm to 6 April 2023, 4pm.
