Direct Year 2 Admissions for Eligible Students

Higher NITEC graduates with a raw GPA of 3.5 and above may be eligible to enrol into Year 2 of some of our diploma courses with module exemptions. Click on the buttons below for more details.

DPP Higher Nitec graduates non-DPP Higher Nitec graduates

 While some courses have been renamed from Intake Year 2025, successful ITE applicants with module exemptions will be enrolled under the Intake Year 2024 course name. Refer to the RP Course Guide for Intake Year 2024, page 21 onwards for the course structure.

Early Admissions Exercise

Early Admissions Exercise (EAE-I)

EAE allows you to apply to courses in RP based on your interests and aptitudes. You can receive a conditional offer for your dream course prior to your ITE final examinations.

Admissions will be based on your final ITE grades.

Joint Polytechnic Admissions Exercise (JPAE)

Apply for your dream course in RP via the Joint Polytechnic Admissions Exercise (JPAE), conducted annually for ITE students/graduates.

Admissions is based on academic merit and subject to available vacancies of the diploma courses.

The Direct Admissions Exercise (DAE) allows applicants whose qualifications are ineligible under JPAE and EAE to apply for admission to our full-time diploma courses.

Joint Polytechnic Admissions Exercise (JPAE)

Apply for your dream course in RP via the Joint Polytechnic Admissions Exercise (JPAE), conducted annually for ITE students/graduates. 

Admissions is based on academic merit and subjected to available vacancies of the diploma courses.

Who can Apply?

Who can apply? 

You must be an applicant holding the following Nitec or Higher Nitec qualifications:

  • Holders of relevant Higher Nitec / Industrial Technician Certificate (ITC) / Certificate in Business Studies (CBS)

  • Holders of relevant Nitec/ National Technical Certificates (NTC) Grade 2 

  • Final semester graduating Higher Nitec students, including those from the Direct-Entry-Scheme to Polytechnic Programme (DPP)

  • Final semester graduating Nitec students

Entry Requirements

You must:

  • Achieve a final net Grade Point Average (GPA):

    • 2.0 or better for Higher Nitec qualification; or

    • 3.5 or better for Nitec qualification

  • Ensure your ITE course is mapped to the diploma course. You can check the course mapping here

Aggregate Computation

  • Final net GPA = Final Raw GPA + CCA bonus points

  • You are granted CCA bonus points if you obtain the following CCA grade:

    • Platinum (A) = 0.2 point
    • Gold (B) = 0.15 point
    • Silver (C) = 0.1 point
    • Bronze (D) = 0.05 point

When and How to apply?

When and How to apply?

  • JPAE application will start from 17 February 2025, 9am to 21 February 2025, 4pm.

  • For application dates and to submit an application, visit the JPAE Online Application Internet System

  • You may indicate up to 8 course choices in your application

  • If you have any enquiries related to your JPAE application, you may email to help@jpae.polytechnic.edu.sg.

The posting outcome will be released via SMS and online on 10 April 2025, 2pm. 


Enrolment

If your application is successful, you will receive an email within a week with instructions on how to complete the online enrolment.

    • Students who have accepted their conditional offer under the Early Admissions Exercise (EAE) and met the entry requirements after the release of final results are not eligible to apply for the DAE.

      The DAE application schedule is as follows:

    • Application is made online through the DAE Application Portal. For instructions on how to do so, please refer to our User Guide here. You may contact us here if you encounter any technical difficulties or issues in submitting your application.

    • You may indicate up to 3 course choices in your application.

    Please Note:

    • Please consider your choices very carefully, and check that all your information entered are accurate before submitting the application, as you will not be able to make any amendments upon submission. 

    • If you already have a course offer from RP through other admissions exercise, you are advised to complete the online enrolment by the date stipulated in the enrolment letter, so that it will not lapse while awaiting the outcome of your DAE application.
