ITE students can apply to RP diplomas through EAE-I, JPAE, or DAE. Higher NITEC graduates may be eligible for Year 2 entry with module exemptions.

Direct Year 2 Admissions for Eligible Students
If you’ve completed your Higher NITEC with a raw GPA of 3.5 or above, you may qualify for direct admission into Year 2 selected diploma courses with module exemptions. Click on the options below to find out what’s available to you:
Early Admissions Exercise (EAE-I)
EAE gives you the chance to secure a place in RP based on your talents and interests. You could land a conditional offer for your dream course—all before taking your ITE final exams. Your admission will be confirmed once you meet the grade requirements.

Joint Polytechnic Admissions Exercise (JPAE)
Apply for your dream course in RP via the Joint Polytechnic Admissions Exercise (JPAE), conducted annually for ITE students/graduates.
Admission is based on your GPA and course vacancies.
Who can apply
You’re eligible for JPAE if you are:
A final-semester Higher Nitec or Nitec student
A graduate with a relevant Higher Nitec, Industrial Technician Certificate (ITC), or Certificate in Business Studies (CBS)
A graduate with a relevant Nitec or National Technical Certificate (NTC) Grade 2
A student from the Direct-Entry-Scheme to Polytechnic Programme (DPP)
What you need to qualify
To qualify, you must:
Achieve a final net Grade Point Average (GPA):
2.0 or better for Higher Nitec qualification; or
3.5 or better for Nitec qualification
Verify that your ITE course is mapped to the diploma course. Check the course mappings here.
How your GPA is computed
Final net GPA = Final Raw GPA + CCA bonus points
You can improve your GPA slightly with your CCA grade:
Platinum (A) = 0.2 point
Gold (B) = 0.15 point
Silver (C) = 0.1 point
Bronze (D) = 0.05 point

JPAE Application timeline
Application opens 23 February 2026, 9am to 27 February 2026, 4pm
Submit your application online via the JPAE Online Application Internet System
You can select up to 8 course choices in your application

What happens after you apply
1. Posting
You'll receive your posting result via SMS and online on 9 April 2026, 2pm.
2. Online enrolment
If you’re successfully posted to RP, you’ll receive an email with instructions on how to complete your online enrolment.

Direct Admissions Exercise (DAE)
If you’re not eligible for JPAE and EAE, the Direct Admissions Exercise (DAE) offers another opportunity to join a full-time diploma course at RP.
Admission is based on your GPA and course vacancies.
Who can apply
You’re eligible to apply if:
You hold a Nitec or Higher Nitec qualification
If you have not accepted a conditional offer from EAE and met the entry requirements after your final results
What you need to qualify
To qualify, you must:
Achieve a final net Grade Point Average (GPA):
2.0 or better for Higher Nitec qualification; or
3.5 or better for Nitec qualification

DAE application timeline for ITE Students
If you're applying with a Higher Nitec or Nitec qualification, here's the key application period to take note of:
23 Mar - 10 Apr 2026
You’ll need to apply online through the DAE Application Portal.Follow our step-by-step user guide here [PDF, 974 KB].
You can indicate up to 3 course choices in your application.
Tip: Check your details and course selections carefully before submitting — you won’t be able to edit your application after it’s submitted.
Already accepted a course offer?
If you’ve previously accepted a course offer from RP through another admissions exercise (e.g. EAE or JPAE), we strongly advise that you complete your online enrolment by the deadline stated in your enrolment letter.
This ensures that your place is not forfeited while you wait for the outcome of your DAE application.
What happens after you apply
1. Posting results
Your application results will be emailed to the address you used in your DAE application on 30 Apr 2026.
2. Online enrolment
If you’re successfully posted to RP, you’ll receive an email with instructions on how to complete your online enrolment.

Note: If you had previously accepted another RP course offer, and your DAE application is successful, you’ll need to accept the new course offer. This will replace your earlier acceptance.
