DPCIB prepares you for university studies in areas related to International Business. It is also useful for careers that require knowledge of international business and global markets.
Curriculum Structure
Module 1: Introduction to International Business
This module provides a broad overview of the global business environment, understanding the rationale of developing an external economy for Singapore and factors affecting a firm's ability to compete domestically and globally. It also introduces new terminologies related to import/export procedures, commonly used shipping terms and trade financing mechanisms.
Module 2: Marketing: An International Perspective
This module allows students to understand basic theories in marketing, such as the 4Ps and SWOT analysis, using varying examples from an international perspective. Through practical case studies, this module covers an overview of marketing plan formulation to create exchanges across international boundaries.
Module 3: Cross-Cultural Business: Networking and Negotiation
This module introduces students to broad principles and issues related to cross-cultural business interactions, while also providing opportunities for them to develop cross-cultural networking, communication, and negotiation skills. Students will learn the broad approaches to business networking across cultures as well as basic business etiquette in a variety of Asian and Western settings. They will also learn to communicate and negotiate effectively with business contacts and partners across cultures.

Assessment
There are no examinations. You will be assessed based on course assignments and attendance.
Graduation Criteria
To pass each module, you must have at least 80% attendance.
To receive the Diploma Plus Certificate, you must pass all three modules.
If you pass only one or two modules, you will receive a certificate for each module passed.
Schedule
Modules begin in late April or early May and run until the end of the year. Classes are held on weekday evenings.
There are no lessons during the exam period or on public holidays.
Entry Requirements
The DPCIB programme is open to all RP Year 1 and Year 2 students with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 in Semester 2.
Admission is based on merit. Applicants with higher GPAs will be considered first, subject to available places.
An email invitation to apply will be sent in late December or early January. If your application is successful, you will be notified by email.
Fees
Each module costs $140 (excluding GST). Payment must be made before the module starts.
