A249 Sustainability Reporting and Carbon Management

This module introduces the concept of sustainability and its application on both the local and global scale.

Students will learn about the relevance of sustainability to businesses in present times, and the importance of communicating sustainability efforts through sustainability reporting based on Global Reporting Initiatives (GRI) and other reporting frameworks. Students will also be introduced to fundamental concepts in carbon accounting and carbon markets. Students will be introduced to essential frameworks and guidelines to target net-zero emissions, including the greenhouse gas protocol for carbon emission (Scopes 1, 2 and 3) and learn about decarbonisation strategies and tools.
