A253 3D Design and Printing

Students will learn about the design considerations for 3D printing and how to use computer-aided design (CAD) software to draw models suitable for 3D printing.  Through a project, students will acquire the skills and knowledge to design and print their own 3D printed product using Fuse Deposition Modelling (FDM) printers. They will also learn to incorporate add-on features as well as to process their 3D printed parts to functionalise and beautify the parts.
