This module aims to equip students with the essential laboratory skills and techniques for chemistry, such as measuring, separating, preparing, analysing, synthesising, and identifying substances.
It also covers the basic concepts and principles of chemistry that underlie these skills, such as stoichiometry, equilibrium, kinetics, and organic chemistry. The module also exposes students to the applications of chemistry in everyday life and the ethical and safety issues related to chemical experiments.
