This module aims to introduce students to the different types of manufacturing materials (metals, alloys, ceramics, polymers and semiconductors), with emphasis on the relationship between microstructure, properties, applications and performance of the materials.
Students would appreciate materials science as a multidisciplinary subject with an integral part in serving society and improving the lives of people.
