A328 Cosmetic Product Design and Development
This module is designed to equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge to ideate, conceptualise and formulate a specific personal care product, such as sunscreen, moisturiser, body shampoo, or others, by leveraging market research and consumer trends.
Through a project-based learning approach, students will revisit concepts from speciality chemicals and formulation science to develop innovative products and learn to overcome challenges encountered during product development. Students will apply practical skills and experience the iterative processes of prototyping and evaluation in the context of personal care product development and learn how to systematically refine and enhance personal care formulations, ensuring optimal product performance and consumer satisfaction.
