A353 Clinical Chemistry
This module covers the principles of clinical chemistry in medical laboratory technology, focusing on laboratory diagnostics in relation to major organ systems and their associated diseases and disorders.
Through practical and theory lessons, students will develop laboratory skills and knowledge to evaluate medical laboratory test results. They will explain the underlying biochemical disturbances or metabolic derangements of diseases; interpret results from diagnosis, monitoring, and disease management, while practising good laboratory techniques, quality assurance, and laboratory safety.
