A354 Haematology

This module introduces the study of blood and the laboratory investigations used to diagnose and monitor common haematological disorders.

Students will develop knowledge of blood cell development and function, haemostasis, and blood transfusion testing, alongside practical skills in routine haematology investigations and an understanding of laboratory quality, safety, and professional practice.

Upon completion, students will be able to perform essential haematology techniques and relate laboratory results to clinical conditions, supporting clinical diagnosis and patient care.
