A366 Research Apprenticeship Programme in Bio-Innovation
This module is designed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical skills, providing students with the opportunity to create and work on projects as a team.
It also aims to offer students a robust blend of hands-on scientific research and cultivation of cross-disciplinary skills. Structured around an experiential learning approach, students will learn how to apply their knowledge in biological sciences to create innovative prototypes or research ideas, together with guidance and mentorship from experienced staff or industry partners. To ensure that the proposed solutions are both innovative and user-centric, students will learn how to apply design thinking methodologies to foster creativity. The curriculum also encompasses vital business knowledge, such as marketing strategies and intellectual property management, to aid in transforming lab-based discoveries into market-ready products.
