A377 Pharmaceuticals and Biologics Manufacturing Science

Pharmaceuticals and Biologics Manufacturing Science introduces students to the science and technology behind the manufacturing of small-molecule drugs and biologics.

Students will explore topics such as product formulation and various manufacturing technologies, including granulation, spray-drying, tabletting, coating, and bioprocessing. Students will also acquire hands-on experience to manufacture tablets, perform quality control testing and analysis, and gain insights into how drugs and therapeutics are required to adhere to pharmacopeial standards. The environmental and sustainability considerations in drug manufacturing will also be explored.
