A378 Health Products Supply Chain

The regulatory guidelines for the proper distribution of dangerous goods, therapeutic products, health supplements, medicinal products and medical devices will be explored.

Students will examine the various components of the supply chain, including sourcing, manufacturing, warehousing, distribution, and retail. Students will learn strategies for effective inventory management within the health products supply chain, including inventory optimisation, demand forecasting, and inventory tracking systems. Special attention will be given to managing temperature-sensitive drugs and therapeutics. Students will also explore current challenges and trends impacting the health products supply chain, such as emerging technologies, sustainability, and the growing demand for personalised medicine.
