A387 Digital Health Innovations and Applications
This module aims to introduce students to the transformative impact of digital technologies on healthcare systems and practices.
Students will learn key concepts and components of digital health, including electronic health records (EHRs), telehealth, and wearable devices. Students will learn about health information systems, focusing on pharmacy informatics. Students will also gain an understanding of the role of data analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence in healthcare for predictive modelling, decision support, and personalised medicine. These culminate in how digital technologies facilitate patient education and empowerment, promoting patient-centred care models.
