A397 Advanced Pharmacotherapy
Advanced Pharmacotherapy builds upon foundational knowledge of pharmacology, pharmacotherapy and pharmacy practice.
Students will focus on specialised pharmacological interventions for various medical conditions, including psychiatric disorders, neurological conditions and musculoskeletal ailments. Students will examine pharmacotherapeutic approaches for these disease conditions and learn the drug classes, mechanisms of action, and clinical applications of relevant drugs. Through exposure to realistic patient scenarios involving complex medical conditions and special patient populations, students will develop critical analysis skills and gain experience in evidence-based decision-making.
