B244 Sustainability and Corporate Governance
22 April 2026
Sustainability and corporate governance represent the integrated framework by which organisations manage their accountability to stakeholders through responsible environmental, social and economic stewardship.
As regulatory bodies, oversight agencies and the public increasingly expect organisations to demonstrate transparent and ethical governance practices, more organisations are incorporating sustainability principles and robust governance structures into their operational frameworks globally.
This module seeks to introduce students to the concept of corporate governance within a sustainability context and its impact on organisational accountability, risk management and stakeholder trust beyond financial performance. Students will gain deeper insights into sustainability goals and formulate strategies to incorporate environmental, social and governance principles into an organisation's governance structures and decision-making processes.
In addition, students will learn to identify an organisation's key stakeholders and develop stakeholder engagement frameworks to ensure organisational impact and public concerns are accounted for in the administration of the organisation’s policies.
