C229 Cloud Computing Essentials

This module covers the fundamental concepts of cloud computing through a practical and hands-on approach.

Students will gain hands-on experience in cloud computing by designing and configuring services such as virtual machines, storage, identity and access management, and virtual private clouds. The module emphasises industry-relevant practices in cloud security, privacy, networking, and compliance, preparing learners for roles in systems administration, cloud operations, and enterprise IT support.

Aligned with contemporary enterprise standards and platforms such as AWS, it develops foundational competencies that support further specialisation in cybersecurity and cloud architecture. On completion, students will be eligible to sit for the AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification.
