C309 Designing AI Solutions

This module prepares students to design and assess responsible artificial intelligence (AI) solutions for business needs and end-users. Students will examine how harms, ethics, regulation, security, and organisational context affect design decisions and user experience.

Through business case studies, students will balance human control and automation, apply inclusive design principles, evaluate claims against actual capabilities, and address risk, compliance, and security considerations. Students will be equipped to design user-centred AI interactions and evaluate solutions using established principles.
